I heard the word sexual imorality, and I have a question, is it a sin to masturbate?
    Answer

Hey Sharon, lets tackle this question from this angle: Sex, according to God is to be enjoyed only between a man and a woman in a marriage relationship(Hebrews 13:4, Matthew 19:4-6). Any other form of sensuality apart from that is sin.
Masturbation is associated with sensual lust. And lust is one of the sins the bible talks about in different verses: 1 Corinthians 6:13, 1 John 2:16, James 1:14-15.
So in conclusion, masturbation is a sin.

    Hey Nivasiny.

The first advice I would give you is to read the bible. Start from the new testament.

Look for an easy bible version to read: New Living Translation, World English Bible, New International Version or any bible with simple English. A good website with all kinds of bible is Bible.com.

Read it gradually and meditate on what you read. You will start to see a change in you.

After reading the bible, if you have any more questions, you can come and ask here.

    does God answer every prayer
    Answer
    avatar
Yes He does, but not all answers are what we expect. Sometimes He says "no" to our prayers, because they are not in His will.
An example is when Jesus prayed a few moments before Judas and the guards came to get Him.:

"And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed, 42 saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup [of divine wrath] from Me; yet not My will, but [always] Yours be done.” 43 [a]Now an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him." (Luke 22:41-43)

Even though Jesus asked God to save Him from the Crucifixion, he still highlighted how important the will of God is over His own desires.

You should always ask God whatever you need and want, but always expect Him to fulfill what He knows is best for you, for the people around you or generally for His plans for the whole world.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
    declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9)

How do i not suffer so bad from depression, like i have the majority of my life?
    Answer

To stop suffering from depression you have to fill your life with positive things.
Philippians 4:8-9 puts it in this way:
"8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned[e] and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you."

There are also other bible verses that can help you overcome your depression like:
    Deuteronomy 31:8, Psalm 40:1-3, Psalm 34:17-20, 1-peter 5:6-7, John 16:33

Try to read them daily, meditate on them and finally pray one them.
So the power in the Word of God will heal your derpression

How can I fight this depression. I’m 56 years old, married for over 40 years. My husband and I raised 3 sons then adopted our first granddaughter. She’s now 14 years old. My mother passed away in 2014. Then my grandma passed away in 2015. I have been fighting to restore my health. I have had Pseudomonas bacterial infection for over a year. I’ve had 2 sinus surgeries. Yet the infection persists. Now I’m going to Infectious Disease Specialist. I’m in bed 70% of the time. I’m so thin it hurts to sit or stand. And Yes I am eating normally and drinking 2 30 gram protein drinks per day. Please help me.

I'm very sorry for what is going on in your whole life. I will support you in prayer but I would also strongly advice you to contact the leaders of the church where you fellowship. So they can come and pray for you and share the Word of God with you. To tell you more about Jesus who is the solution to what you are going through.
