What a beautiful day today is… or at least we pray today will be.
You know, that kind of day where we willingly wake up on time(no snooze button), fully rested with a smile on our faces?
A day where the is little to no traffic on the way and the buses and trains where all on time.
A day where our bosses or colleagues welcome us with a smile and a very positive attitude.
Where everything just seems to go right.
But what if none of this never happens today?
What if we woke up late and tired with huge bags under our eyes: making us skip breakfast to rush to the bus stop to realize that the bus or train is delayed “until further notice”.
Obviously making us very late for work/school, just to meet our angry managers or teachers.
And just see everything go so wrong, until we hit our beds again.
That would be horrible, and I would never wish that to my worst enemy.
No matter how this day goes, or is going, we should trust that God is in control.
We might not be able to understand why God allowed the day to go as it went, but there is definitely a silver lining in all this.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Besides we should never forget that our time on this earth is temporary and it serves the purpose of preparing us for Heaven.
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
So even though we all openly welcome beautiful and peaceful days, we should not despair when the not-so-beautiful days come our way. Because those are the days that God uses the most to build our character and faith in Him.
As far as Gods will is done: whether the day is good or bad. We should live the day with a thankful heart. That is what pleases the Lord.
give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
